How to manage Contact settings.
Log in to the Troomi Parent Portal > From the left menu click on Settings just below Home > From the settings menu select Contact Settings.
Parents have the ability to decide the level of Contact approval necessary for each individual device. Select the device profile and simply choose between 1) Contact may not be used without approval, 2) Automatically remove contact if not approved within 72 hours, or 3) No contact approval necessary. These three Contact approval options means a phone that can grow with your child.
How to turn On Contact Settings
Parents have the option to toggle on and off the phones ability to sent calls and texts to non-contacts as well as to toggle on and off the phones ability to receive calls and texts from non-contacts. Providing granular control over this feature gives parents a tool to truly personalize their child's phone settings.
Somethings to keep in mind when saying Yes or No to calls and texts being sent to non-contacts. This settings only applies to non-contacts. If an existing contact is marked as blocked, communication will still be blocked with them. This will also enable enable the keypad in the Dialer app.

One last feature to explore, Manage All Contacts. To allow all contacts to make and receive calls and texts to and from the phone Select Allow > Click Confirm section. All Contacts can also be blocked using this setting.

Your first option is to add contacts through the Parent Portal. There is no contact app on the phone itself, but you can open up the dialer as if you're going to make a call, and you'll find contacts there. You'll also see a "+" in the top right corner. Tap there, and you'll be able to add contacts that way. Depending on what setting you've selected in the Parent Portal, you’ll either have to approve the contacts your child adds through the Parent Portal, or they'll be able to add them with no approval needed. At this time, contact images can be added only through the Parent Portal. If your child has specific pictures they want for a contact, they can always send them to you to add!
