Summary
This article is show how to transfer files from the Troomi phone to a windows computer or a Mac computer. When the phone is connected to a computer then files can be Dragged and Dropped, or Copy and Paste from phone to device, and vice versa.
Transfer files using windows
- First connect the Troomi phone to a computer. It will pop up a permission tab on the phone. You will need to click on Allow on the Troomi phone so the computer can access your data.
- You can then open up file explorer on the computer
- On the left hand side scroll down and click on This PC
- Double click on the phone so we can access the data you want to transfer
- Double click on Internal storage to move the files you want to be on the computer.
- Go to the file location to the files you want to move.
- Select all files you want to transfer.
- If you are selecting one file you just need to click on the file just once
- If you want to select multiple files hold Ctrl and then select all the files you want to transfer.
- If you want to select all files click on the first file, click and hold shift, and click on the last file.
- Right click on one of the files you selected once you selecting all files you want to move within the folder.
- Select cut if you want delete from current locations and move to new locations
- Be aware if you use cut be sure you paste the information before you cut or copy again. If you don't paste after you cut and copy/cut another file the first initial file may go back to the original folder or they will lose that data.
- Select copy if you want the files to be move and still be on the same device
- Select cut if you want delete from current locations and move to new locations
- Go to a folder on the computer that you want to save your files. Right click within that folder and select paste. All data will be moved or copy to the new locations.
- If you don't see the icon to paste then you can click Show more option or if you are on a windows 10 device click Paste.
Transfer file through Mac
This appication is able to download on all MAC product with the require cersion of macOS 10.15 or later
- First, you will need to download the MacDroid - Manager for Android from the App Store
- Once done installing click on the open button
- It will then take you through how MacDroid works so you can click on Next and Get Started to use the application
- Click on Yes so the app can access the file location of the device
- Click on the plan that you would like to have.
- The free version is all you need to be able to move files from Android to Mac and vice versa
- Once done you should see a screen that looks like this. You will click on Connect Via MTP so we can transfer files with a wire connection.
- Plug in the Android phone to the Mac and click on Allow on your Android phone.
- Once you click allow you should see the phone listed on the left-hand side of the app.
- Click on the device you want to transfer files from and click on Show in Finder.
- You will see that the application would like to start syncing, so you will click on Okay.
- You will see the Finder will pop up in the background. You will need to click on that so you can view the phone file location. When you click on Show in Finder it will automatically take you to the phone file location.
- Click on Internal storage so you can view all the locations on the Android phone
- You can click on the location to move from the phone to the MAC computer.
- In this scenario, we will show where to get screenshots off the phone. This process works with the other folders as well
- Go to the file location where the data you want to remove from the phone to MAC
- The view of the files is default to Icon mode and you can move the icon around Finder which can cause a mess.
- For a better view, you may change the view from as icon to as List.
- Select the files you want to Transfer.
- If you are selecting one file you just need to click on the file just once
- If you want to select multiple files hold Command and then select all the files you want to transfer.
- If you want to select all files click on the first file, click and hold shift, and click on the last file.
- Drag and drop to the desktop or to another Finder tab to store the information on the phone. Click Confirm to approve moving the files onto the MAC.
- Once you click confirm the files will be moved onto your MAC
