TABLE OF CONTENTS

Android has a special category of apps that run on your phone called Widgets.

A widget is a mini-app that runs on your home screen. Widgets are not the same thing as the shortcut icons that allow you to launch an app. Widgets generally display data and take up more space than a single icon. For example, weather widgets show data about local weather forecasts.

Add or Restore the Weather Widget to Your Home Screen

This video shows you how to add or restore the Weather Widget to your home screen.

Set Your Location

You may need to add or set your location if you're running the widget for the first time.

Install Missing Widget and Enable Weather Icon

PLEASE NOTE: If you are on the Do or Dream service plan, you can still use the Weather Widget, but you will not be able to fix a missing widget or add the icon until the 0.1.74 Troomi Software update is on your phone. To check what version of software your phone has, look in the Parent Portal or the Troomi app on your phone.

In this video, we show you a fix for the Weather Widget when it appears like it's missing from the phone. The good news is, it's just disabled. To fix it, you can go to the Parent Portal and reinstall/re-enable it under Basic Apps.

Only install the Weather Widget if it's missing from your phone.

We also show you how to add the Weather icon to your Apps page.
