Troomi Apps

There are 5 Troomi Apps that reside on the phone. These Apps are part of the Troomi KidSmart OS


Updater

Manages downloading and updating of the Troomi KidSmart OS Apps


This app is persistent - it must always be running and cannot be closed by the user



KidSmart OS - aka MDM 

This App manages the communication between the phone and the Troomi cloud. This is the main part of the Troomi KidSmart environment


This app is persistent - it must always be running and cannot be closed by the user



Dialer

Works in conjunction with the Parent Portal Settings and Contacts to manage incoming and outgoing calls



Messenger

Works in conjunction with the Parent Portal Settings and Contacts to manage incoming and outgoing texts



App Assistant

This app works in conjunction with the Troomi App Store to install new apps on the phone




App Versions

Versioning is important because it gives the user specific information about each app, how current it is, and allows Troomi to make sure each device has the current software on it.


Check App Versions from the Parent Portal

  1. The KidSmart OS version is shown on the Device Info tile on the Home Screen
  2. Touch the "info" icon from the Device Info tile on the Home Screen to see the rest of the version
These version numbers are updated from the phone each time it communicates to the Parent Portal





Check App Versions from the Device

From the Main Screen

1.  Long-Press the app icon until the info bubble opens

2.  Touch the "i"nfo icon




3.  Scroll down to see the Version number (it is usually the last item on the screen)

 




From the Device Settings


1.  Go to Settings

2.  Scroll to Apps

3.  Find the App you want to check
